Today we're going to review part no. YR1203SY. This is the Yates Keel Pad for a boat trailer. This keel pad will mount to one of the 3-inch wired cross members on your trailer. It will provide a scratch resistant cushion for the boat's keel and it does help to prevent damage to your boat during trailering. This part is constructed of a TPR material which is a thermoplastic rubber material.
It is a non-marking, non-scratching material. It is stronger and more durable that your traditional rubber material and it is softer and more pliable than the polyurethane material. This part will mount to the cross member of your boat trailer by these tabs on both sides. You put this on the cross member and then you could drill a hole or insert a self-tapping screw to hold it into place. We're going to do a few dimension on this for you.
We'll do the overall length which is 11 3/4 inches and the overall width which is 3 1/2 inches and I will also give you a inner width that goes onto the cross member be 3 inches. This part is made in the USA. And that should do it for part no. YR1203SY.

Product needs to have holes drilled to mount to the trailer but offers complete coverage over the top of the rail. It has the same hardness as the trailer rollers of the same color (fairly hard but shouldn't damage the fiberglass). The seller shipped fast and had great communication

Nice for protecting any part of the boat that may strike the cross member or axle when launching or retrieving. Flexible enough to conform to offsets. It would be nicer if two additional attachment tabs were placed at center of item.

How many times these have saved by boat from scuff marks. These are like new after another year. Ill put these on every boat I own in the future.
